How many teachers have heard students say, “I’m never going to use this!” But the students still are required to learn whatever it is. And I admit, I haven’t used the calculus I learned in college – but I have used some of what I learned in the process of learning it. Learning is never wasted. But sometimes, it becomes useful in ways we don’t expect. And the most important thing to learn is – how to learn. Because there will inevitably be new things we need to know how to do or to understand. Life is changing, and knowledge grows. I’ve never regretted learning.
