Some days it is easy to love and accept ourselves, and comfort is quick to find. Other days? Not so much. They are something we all need. Not just occasionally, either.
A useful question on a day we’re struggling is: “What can I do right now to make myself feel better?” Then, go do it!
Be sure not to argue yourself out of the reasons why you can’t or shouldn’t do what you just thought. Treat yourself as kindly as you would a dear friend. Give yourself permission to take care of your own needs.
