Thomas Edison tried 2000 different materials for his light bulb filament before hitting on one that worked. When his assistant was dismayed at all that work for nothing, Edison replied, “Oh, we have come a long way and we have learned a lot. We now know that there are two thousand elements which we cannot use to make a good light bulb.”
In her book “You are a Badass” Jen Sincero writes: “The only failure is quitting. Everything else is just gathering information.”
Don’t quit! Pause. Rest, regroup, get new information and move on from there.
